The Pretty Reckless Raise Hell At The Motherchurch

On Thursday, September 3, The Pretty Reckless took the stage at Nashville’s very own Ryman Auditorium, bringing their signature blend of hard rock and raw energy to the Mother Church.

The Nashville stop was one of many dates on the band’s current tour, which comes alongside their run of opening dates for AC/DC. The tour celebrates the band’s brand new album, Dear God, marking a new era for The Pretty Reckless following their previous album, Death By Rock and Roll, released in 2021.

The tour has taken the band across the United States, with a number of festival appearances on the schedule, including an upcoming performance at Louder Than Life. The band has also been joined by a variety of notable opening acts throughout the tour, including Paris Jackson and The Band Doug.

From the moment the band hit the stage, the energy inside the Ryman was undeniable. The setlist struck a balance between new material and fan favorite tracks from throughout The Pretty Reckless’ catalog, giving longtime fans plenty to sing along to while introducing the newest chapter of the band’s sound.

One of the biggest moments of the night came with “For I Am Death,” the lead single from Dear God. The song immediately energized the crowd, with the Ryman erupting as fans sang along. The band proved that its newest material can stand comfortably alongside the songs that first built its devoted fanbase.

Frontwoman Taylor Momsen also made the show feel especially personal by stepping off the stage and into the crowd for several songs. The move brought her even closer to fans and added another layer of unpredictability and excitement to the performance.

As the night came to a close, The Pretty Reckless saved one of their most anticipated songs for last. The band closed the show with fan favorite “Going To Hell,” an especially fitting choice for a performance inside the historic Mother Church.
