Danzig Brings Darkness to Nashville at The Pinnacle

Live at The Pinnacle • Nashville, Tennessee • September 18, 2026

Nashville has no shortage of live music, but on September 18, Danzig brought a darker sound to the Pinnacle. With ANA, Burning Witches, and Twin Temple opening the show, the night delivered a mix of heavy metal, gothic style, and theatrical rock n’ roll. With only seven stops on this year’s tour, the Nashville show felt like a special opportunity to experience Danzig’s music live. The limited run made the night even more exciting for those who have followed Glenn Danzig’s career over the years.

ANA opened the evening, followed by the Burning Witches, who brought a powerful dose of traditional heavy metal. Then came Twin Temple, a band that takes the sweetness of vintage doo-wop and twists it into something absolutely sinister. Each band brought something unique to the bill, keeping the night varied before the headliner took the stage. The result was a lineup that refused to settle into one lane. By the time the Danzig hit the stage, the night’s atmosphere had already been established: strange, heavy, and entirely its own.

Danzig delivered the dark atmosphere and heavy sound fans came to hear. Known for his work with the Misfits and Samhain, as well as his solo career, Glenn Danzig has built a style that combines heavy riffs and blues influences. His music has a distinct identity, and that was on full display in Nashville. The setlist featured favorites such as “How the Gods Kill,” “Her Black Wings.” “Tired of Being Alive,” “Twist of Cain,” and of course “Mother.” The band also performed “The Hunter,” a song originally recorded by Albert King, highlighting the blues influence behind Danzig’s sound.   The performance was driven by strong vocals, heavy guitar, and the familiar songs that have kept fans coming back for decades. Audience reactions praised Danzig’s voice and the band’s tight performance.

What made the show work was its simplicity. The music did the talking, the riffs hit hard, and the setlist reminded everyone why Danzig remains a recognizable name in music. Rather than chasing trends, the band stayed true to the sound and style that built its following. With seven stops on the tour this year, Danzig’s performance at The Pinnacle was a chance to catch a legendary act in a limited run of shows. From the diverse opening bands to Danzig’s collection of classic songs, the evening delivered a solid night of heavy music for Nashville fans. The atmosphere was dark, the sound was loud, and Danzig proved that his music still has the power to command a room.
