LIVE FEATURE: Amyl and The Sniffers Turn Up the Heat in Nashville
October 6, 2026 at The Truth
Amyl and The Sniffers came rolling through Nashville on their 2026 North American tour, bringing their unapologetic brand of high-voltage punk rock to The Truth. With Edging and Hunx and His Punx opening the night, the lineup promised a loud, sweat-soaked evening built on raw punk energy.
Edging kicked things off with a punchy set, followed by Hunx and his Punx who kept the momentum moving with their own dose of attitude and intensity. Both bands set the stage for Amyl and The Sniffers to take over.
By the time Amyl and The Sniffers hit the stage, the night was primed for chaos. Opening with “Control” before launching into “ Do It Do It” and “Freaks to the Front,” the Australian punk outfit wasted no time setting the pace. The setlist moved with swift urgency between “Security” and “Doing in Me Head,” and the infectious drive of “Guided by Angels,” and the snarling swagger of “Balaclava Lover Boogie” kept the night moving at a fast pace.
At the center of it all was frontwoman Amy Taylor, whose fearless presence and confrontational delivery have become synonymous with the band. She commands the stage with an unfiltered intensity that feels perfectly matched to the music: direct, unpredictable, and impossible to ignore. Behind her the band’s driving bass, pounding drums, and sharp guitar work keep everything moving at full throttle.
That intensity extends beyond the stage. Amyl and The Sniffers’ music practically invites a physical response, and their shows are built around the connection between the band and the crowd. Moshing, bodies moving shoulder to shoulder, and crowd surfers making their way toward the barricade are all part of the larger punk-rock spectacle. The atmosphere surrounding a set like this is less about watching from a distance and more about becoming part of the energy in the room.
The Nashville set continued with “Facts,” “Big Dreams,” “Knifey,” and “Me and The Girls,” balancing the band’s more melodic moments with the relentless punch of their punk sound. “Pleasure Forever,” “Chewing Gum,” and “Tiny Bikini” kept the set moving before “ U Should Not Be Doing That.” “Jerkin,” and “Hertz” drove the momentum towards its finish.
Amyl and The Sniffers wrapped up the night with the same energy they brought from the start, leaving the crowd sweaty, loud, and wanting more. With Edging and Hunx and His Punx kicking things off, the show was a nonstop night of punk rock from beginning to end. From Amy Taylor’s wild stage presence to the crowd moving along to every song, Amyl and The Sniffers proved once again that their live shows are something special. The Truth got a night full of noise, energy, and pure punk rock, and Nashville couldn’t have asked for much more.
